The five thematic rooms of the exhibition take the visitors through the history of the lighthouse, from its construction to the present day. The collection includes the video interviews to some of the protagonists.
First Flashes – The Lighthouse Keepers – Family Portraits
The lighthouse of Punta Tagliamento, as an important maritime reference, accompanied by drawings and technical information.
The keepers, together with their families in moments of daily intimacy and the reconstruction of the surroundings in which they lived.
The Signal Station – The Lighthouse Mariners
The story of this important military installation, which was on the first floor of the building, and the mariners who spent their military service at the Bibione lighthouse.
The turns of sentinel in the look-out tower, the signalling to the ships and transmission of weather bulletins.
Eclipse of Light – The Dark Pages
Life in the lighthouse during two world wars, its bombing, the landing of German soldiers and the following liberation, illustrated by unpublished historical documents, found in the archives of the Military Navy.
The protagonists recount
The fourth room changes direction proposing video interviews of the men and women who have given part of their lives to the Bibione lighthouse.
The archive of LuMe
The last room contains the presentation of the project “LuMe – The Archive of Memory”: a collection of photographs and written testimonies which, at the end of the exhibition, will form the first archive of memory of the lighthouse of Punta Tagliamento.

HOW TO GET HERE
The exhibition is located at the Bibione lighthouse.
It can be reached on foot, along the beach, or by bike through the cycle path. The nearest parking is on via Procione.
A shuttle service is available for people with reduced mobility, starting from the IAT (Tourist Info Point) at via Maja 84.
